REC Group brings globally successful channel programs to India; Redington designated country’s first REC Platinum Partner

REC Group, the leading European brand for solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, announces the expansion of its unique channel programs into the Indian solar rooftop market. The programs promote and reward long-term alliances between REC, solar panel distributors, as well as solar system integrators and installers. The programs have already proven to be successful in Europe and were rolled out in the Asia-Pacific region, including in Japan, Australia, and Sri Lanka among others. As India’s first REC Platinum Partner, Redington has been honored during the REI Expo trade show recently.

Attractive benefits for distributors and system integrators

The REC Partner Program provides distributors with a portfolio of services, tools and benefits to grow their business profitably with REC. The key benefits include access to a dedicated portal, from which they can track and trace deliveries to increase planning security, access commercial documents, flash data, marketing support, as well as helpful sales and technical training material by a European solar brand with 20 years of experience. Distributors can qualify for two different Partnership levels, based on both quantitative and qualitative criteria. All partners are required to sign a master agreement.

The REC Solar Professional Program offers solar installers and system integrators unique training on how to best install and sell REC solar panels. Certified as REC Solar Professionals, installers benefit from an extended product warranty (an additional two years on top of the REC’s standard 10-year product warranty), and access to sales and marketing tools that support their business’ success. Skill development along with global best practices is a crucial aspect of the REC Solar Professional Program. With new entrepreneurs joining the clean energy industry in India, it is essential they be equipped with the right skill set, especially outside of the major urban centers. The combination of high-quality panels and professional installation secures best yields and return of investments for installation owners.

India’s first Platinum Partner announced at the REI Expo

Redington is today positioned as the largest supply chain solution provider in emerging markets. As a group, Redington is present in India, Middle East, Africa, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Singapore and CIS countries. It has a portfolio of over 200 international brands and a dense network of over 48 offices in India.

The solar division of Redington started its operation with REC products and is now one of their fastest growing businesses. The Platinum Partnership was awarded to Redington by Milan Koev, Vice President Sales & Marketing for Asia Pacific at REC Group along with Rohit Kumar who heads the Indian Operations.
