REC started as a manufacturer of high quality solar grade silicon and wafer materials. Since 2003, we have been manufacturing high performance modules for commercial, residential and utility applications. Today, we are the most integrated solar company in the world, with silicon, wafers, cells and modules production operations. We work to the highest quality standards and can draw on more than a decade of research and development in solar materials, engineering and production management.
REC produces modules in Scandinavia, at a 150 MW production facility located in Glava, Sweden. Since our startup in 2003, we have continually expanded. REC is currently constructing the world's largest integrated wafer, cell and module facility in Singapore. When fully operational, the Singapore plant will be capable of producing almost 600 MW of solar modules, taking REC's worldwide module capacity to 740 MW.
