REC Wafer produces high-efficiency monocrystalline ingots for the solar industry at our plant in Glomfjord, Norway.
The production capacity in 2008 was 35 MW. Our market share in this segment is growing, and production volumes are expected to reach 300 MW when the new monocrystalline production unit has been ramped up in Glomfjord. The new plant will also implement wafer slicing equipment, and REC will be able to offer monocrystalline wafers for high-efficiency solar cells to customers worldwide.
