REC Wafer uses proprietary technologies in manufacturing PV wafers with industry-leading conversion efficiency levels. Focus on product quality, both in the electrical and mechanical properties of the wafers, is of highest importance to REC Wafer.
We manufacture multicrystalline wafers for the solar industry at our factories in Glomfjord and Herøya, Norway, where we had an annual production of 542 MW in 2008. Ongoing expansions, including the Singapore plant, will increase wafer production capacity to 2.4 GW.
Our wafers are sold to solar cell manufacturers world-wide, typically on long-term contracts with predetermined volumes and prices.
