Glomfjord

Glomfjord plant

REC produces monocrystalline wafers and ingots for solar applications at its production faciliy in Glomfjord in the northern part of Norway. 

REC has one plant in Glomfjord producing monocrystalline ingots and wafers.

Glomfjord was REC's first production facility, and the first wafer came out of this plant  in 1997. Today REC has a design capacity of approximately 300 MW of monocrystalline wafers and ingots at Glomfjord.

Most of the production from Glomfjord is sold to external customers.

About 200 employees works at the wafer plant in Glomfjord.
