Best Residential & Commercial Projects
Our project-based awards recognize vision, creativity, and flawless execution in bringing solar dreams to life.
Celestial Solar Innovations was honored with the Best Residential Project for their commitment to design excellence and performance in residential solar installations.
Tampa Bay Solar earned this year’s Best Commercial Project distinction for its groundbreaking work with the Manatee School for the Arts, one of the largest rooftop solar projects in Florida’s history. The 27-acre campus installation spans six buildings and includes over 3,000 panels, offsetting nearly all of the school’s annual electricity usage.
As Tampa Bay Solar’s President and CEO Steve Rutherford explained in a recent WFLA interview, “This will provide enough energy for the next 25 years to offset their electric bills... The customer is making excess energy, that energy is being sold back to the grid and helping neighbors who don’t have solar.”
By combining innovation, education, and sustainability, Tampa Bay Solar not only set a new benchmark for commercial installations but also helped a local school district save millions in energy costs—showing how clean energy can power both classrooms and communities.
Solar Service Award
Recognized for their outstanding dedication to customer care and post-installation service, Taylor Energy continues to raise the standard for community impact through solar. Earlier this year, Taylor Energy partnered with REC to install a 15.54 kW solar PV system at the Occidental Area Health Center in Occidental, California—completely free of charge.
The charitable installation, featuring 37 REC Alpha Pure-R 420W panels and Enphase IQ8X microinverters, will save the health center more than $500,000 over the next 25 years while supporting critical healthcare services for underserved families, children, and patients in need.
As REC Marketing Manager Hannah Raines noted, “We are honored to partner with Taylor Energy on this amazing project and help make an impact on this community. Sean and his team are an inspiration to the solar industry with their strong philanthropy program.”
