REC Group Strengthens Presence in Taiwan with Appointment of Hans Liu as Country Head
Liu's extensive background in the solar industry includes positions at Neo Solar Power in Taiwan, SunSpark in the US, and Vena Energy in Singapore, where he served as General Manager. He holds a Master of Science in Technology Leadership from Brown University in Providence, US, and a Master's degree in Renewable Energy and Sustainability Systems from Penn State University.
As REC Group expands its presence in Taiwan, Liu's appointment comes at a crucial time. The company has been operating in the market for 10 years, offering a robust Channel Program that supports distributors and REC certified installers. The company initially introduced its legendary REC Peak Energy Solar panels to the market and has since continued to set new technology benchmarks, including its advanced REC Alpha HJT technology today.
Gus Paviani, Head of Apac and Japan at REC Group, expressed his confidence in Liu's ability to drive REC's premium position in Taiwan. "It is important for us to have someone on board who well understands the benefits of advanced technologies such as heterojunction solar cell technology and its potential for future technology leaps," Paviani stated.
