Led by business owner Randy, the Clearwater complex faced rising energy demands – from power-hungry x-ray machines to on-site electric vehicles. His goal? Offset as much of the facility’s energy usage as possible while capitalizing on federal tax incentives.

Randy’s journey to solar was rooted in trust. “We collected utility bills from each unit, did a detailed analysis, and designed everything for maximum efficiency,” Elijah shared. “It was one of the most precise designs we’ve ever executed.”

From a technical standpoint, the system featured:

• Enphase IQ8 three-phase microinverters to eliminate clipping
• IronRidge racking with extended KOB L-foot mounts for a 5° tilt
• OMG PowerGrip mounts, heat-welded into the TPO roof membrane

No commercial solar project is without hurdles – and in this case, the city of Largo’s stringent permitting and inspection processes posed one of the biggest. But Origin Solar didn’t just meet the requirements – they exceeded them.

“Our inspection was led by the chief fire marshal himself,” Elijah recalled. “He told us it was the first commercial solar project in over a year and a half to pass inspection on the first attempt. That was a huge moment for our team.”
