Evolution follows revolution: Production start of the iconic REC TwinPeak 5 solar panels
Building on the success of its predecessors, the new TwinPeak 5 with its improved power output of up to 410 Wp, will give consumers higher savings on electricity bills and carbon emissions. Available in both white and black backsheet variants, the REC TwinPeak 5 Series features 132 half-cut monocrystalline p-type cells with multi-busbar connections. REC’s meanwhile popular 30 mm thin frame and support bars in the back allow the panel to withstand heavy loads of up to 7000 Pa, ensuring a strong longevity even under rough climate conditions.
Like all REC products, the new solar panel is eligible for the extended REC ProTrust warranty, including up to 25 years product, performance and labor warranty for systems completed by REC Certified Solar Professional installers. The guaranteed longevity of the new REC TwinPeak is an active contribution to less resource consumption and demonstrates REC’s push for a more sustainable solar industry.
Production of the REC TwinPeak 5 just started at REC’s Industry 4.0 manufacturing site in Singapore, with first shipments arriving in Asia-Pacific in December and in Europe in January 2023. More information about the new REC TwinPeak 5 Series can be found here.
